Graduated from Meramec Community College in 1968 with a certificate in Dental Assisting. Married William Rivers in 1970-gave birth to our son, Chad Alan Rivers, in 1972. Divorced William Rivers in 1987. Went back to college in 1988, part time, and continued to work as a Dental Assistant until I graduated in 1994 with an Associate Degree in Nursing-Registered Nurse. Met my husband, James Harrison R.N., in nursing school. We married in 1999-he has two daughters. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in March of 2003-was treated with Chemotherapy and Radiation for the next nine months-have been Cancer Free for 3 1/2 years now. My husband is employed by BJC in the ICU and I am employed by St. Luke's Hospital's Surrey Place. We built a Log Home outside of Winfield in 2004 where we reside with our beautiful Japanese Chin, Geisha.
