Gearing up for our 2012 REUNION

Updated: February 23, 2009

We want ideas!!! Please use the FEEDBACK FORM for suggestions as well as compliments, the latter...which we thank you so much for all the wonderful compliments. A suggestion for the next reunion will not be taken as an insult so please, let us know what will get you here for the next reunion. We want even more classmates to come in 2012!!!

FYI, some of the ideas for our 2012 Reunion are:

Having a 2 day event:

Saturday evening similar to what we had on our 40th... but in October, after the back to school/college rush and before the holiday rush.

Having a Sunday Bon Fire, Outdoor, bring your Gearhead "Toy," BBQ, maybe a real Band(?), large Tent or Pavilion type of thing.

October 2012 option dates are: 6th-7th, 13th-14th, 20th-21st, and 27th-28th.

Have option of coming to one, the other, or both events...3 prices.

Make a few non major adjustments/improvements to the room set up - food and bar placement.

Turn the music up!!! Need better sound system for 2012. Rent or bring better sound system for those that might have wanted to dance or hear the music.

Buffet encouraged mingling. Sit down dinner would discourage mingling. Purpose of reunion= MINGLE. and have fun. Are there any other reasons for one or the other???

Explore other places to have the Saturday event that may be more reasonable in price.

Decide where and date to reserve ASAP and lock in price that could go up in 4+ years.

Find better deals on rooms for out-of-towners.

Set date well in advance to allow classmates to make arrangements. Send out post cards early!!!

Picture Name badges verses sticky badges??? Some were for name badges because they were nice and aided in recognition of others. Some thought sticky badges would have been OK and cheap. Sticky badges peal off and/or do not stick to some fabrics and will not have pix of classmate.

Use white back drop behind the Pattonville arch in the next reunion's pictures.

Add to "A Look Back" DVD.

Find and invite more of the teachers.

Find and invite the still missing classmates.
