After graduating from Pattonville, I
went to work at McDonnell Douglas. I met my husband, Bill, on a blind date
set up by my sister, Jean (she graduated from Pattonville in 1966) later that
same year and we ran away and got married after only knowing each other 4
months. You might say we got to know each other after we married!
We have been happily married for 39 years and we have 2 children together and
Bill has a son, Sterling, who lives in St Louis from his first marriage.
We have 2 granddaughters and a grandson who happen to live only two miles from
us. Our daughter, Tracy has a 14 year old daughter who is really 21!, a 5
year old and a 2 year old so she is facing teenage and toddler together. I
am so blessed that I did not do it that way! Our son, Jeff and his wife,
Joy live in Dallas but have no children.
I have been very fortunate to be able to stay home with my children when they
were small. I have now been working for Blue Bell Creameries for 21 years
as Office Manager. It is very satisfying to me - never a dull moment.
My house husband, Bill, is retired from traveling. He was Marketing
Director, selling to oil field related businesses - what else in Texas! We
have lived in Texas 32 years so you might say we are Texans by now.
Bill will be unable to attend the reunion but I am excited about coming. I
was planning a trip to St Louis this summer anyway because my mom and two
sisters still live there.
I love being a grandmother and all that goes with it. We love to camp, ATV
and we have a bass boat. I read, Bill fishes! See everyone soon!
