2/19/2009 Update:
After high school graduation, I went to
college for a year and quit. At the age of forty, I decided to return to
college and graduated cum laude with two degrees after ten years of taking
night and weekend classes while maintaining a busy work and travel schedule.
In 1969 I married a wonderful young lady from Webster Groves and we had two
children who also attended Pattonville. Last year, my wife of thirty-seven
years past away having fought a very long (seventeen years) and hard battle with
breast cancer. I currently have one three-year old grandson who keeps me
very busy when he visits and needless to say I enjoy every minute with him.
For the past 34 years I have been employed by Hunter Engineering Company, the
leading manufacturer of automotive service equipment including wheel alignment,
wheel balancing, brake lathes, tire changers and safety inspection systems.
I work in the Hunter Engineering Company Research & Training Center and my
duties include training automotive service technicians from all over the world
in the proper use of Hunter equipment to service automobiles, trucks, trailers
and busses. Over the years, I have served on many nationally known
automotive service associations and committees including serving as a panelist,
moderator, guest speaker and “expert witness”. I have even been
interviewed, quoted and had articles published by many of the automotive service
trade journals.
I am also the Director of National Trade Shows and responsible for all of the
major trade shows Hunter attends throughout the year. I have been very
fortunate because my duties at Hunter have allowed me to travel
extensively throughout the United States and most of the World. During my
years here at Hunter, I have had the opportunity to meet many CEOs, celebrities
and politicians including Presidents, Vice-presidents, Kings, Queens, Princes
and Ambassadors. During a recent Presidential visit, my office served as
the temporary “White House” office for the President.
I am active in the City of Bridgeton and currently serve on the Parks and
Recreation Board. For twenty-five years I served as an active volunteer
firefighter (Captain) for the West Overland Fire Protection District (Northwest
Plaza area). I have since “semi-retired” as a firefighter but I
am still actively involved as an Internationally and State of Missouri certified
Fire Investigator. During my leisure time, I enjoy traveling and attending
various forms of automobile racing.
